About
Sawyer Gibson, M.A., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor · Dallas, Texas
I graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Educational Psychology, then earned my Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health from Denver Seminary. I love anything outdoors, exercise, travel, cooking and good food, and most of all spending time with my husband and two boys, who bring me the greatest joy.
My story
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all sorts of backgrounds. I’ve learned that no matter where you come from, the pain you experience is real, and healing is worth the work to get there.
Counseling has helped to transform my own relationships by giving me the tools to face conflict and pain in different seasons of life. From personal experience, I can attest to the wholeness and freedom that is possible when given the space to freely wrestle with hard things.
That said, I believe that change and growth is a difficult journey, and only one you can choose. I will walk alongside you in the process, but we only become the people we hope to be by making the courageous choice to ask for help, identifying areas in our life that need change, and then taking action toward our goals. It would be my honor to work with you as we discern the choices that are right for you.

“God is not at our back, pushing us along on our journey. God is before us, revealed in the thousands of faces of human beings in the different circumstances of life.”
